About Us
Our History
The Green Park vineyard grows on the lands of the Wadandi people, who are the traditional owners of the Margaret River region. We acknowledge them and pay our deepest respects to their elders past and present.
The Green Park vineyard was once a potato farm, part of a larger land holding of the Arthur family. Planted in 1998, the original vineyard (‘10 Mile’) consisted of Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz vines which have since been reworked.
The property was purchased by Jess Brennan and Mark Andrews and their young family in 2021, with the intention of making the property their home, and the vines their vocation.
To mark this new beginning, Jess and Mark renamed the property ‘The Green Park’ as homage to the place they met many moons ago.
Our Approach
From the outset, we have taken a disciplined and considered approach to managing the vineyard, working alongside JH Viticulture. Under James Harris's guidance, our focus has been on maintaining and improving the performance of the 30+ year old vines, beginning with a targeted soil program to support long term vine health and fruit quality.
We take a considered approach to farming, prioritising organic methods wherever practical and reducing synthetic inputs where possible. Our aim is to produce healthy vines and quality fruit while working in balance with the natural conditions of the vineyard.
In 2024, we regrafted a block of Cabernet Sauvignon to Chardonnay, selecting a graft favoured by leading Margaret River winemakers for its strong demand, reliable yield and fruit quality. The decision reflected both site suitability and Margaret River's established reputation for exceptional Chardonnay, and marked a deliberate step in shaping a focused wine portfolio for The Green Park.
While we continue to supply fruit to established wineries across the region, 2024 also marked the beginning of our own wine production. Working with Nathan Shultz of Willespie, our fruit is carefully handled and made into wine under experienced local guidance, allowing us to introduce The Green Park as a new family owned wine in the Margaret River market.
With experienced guidance across both vineyard and winemaking, and a family deeply committed to the land, we aim to produce wines that reflect the quality and character for which Margaret River is internationally recognised.
